I was born on October 22nd, 2005
at 6:02 pm at Macclesfield District General Hospital. I surprised Mum and Dad a bit by being 10 days early! I weighed in at 3.33 kg
or 7 pounds and 5 ounces! Here's a couple of snaps of me bedding down for my
first night outside the womb...
Day two was just as good. I got to meet Grandma, Uncle Angus, Aunt Sue and my two cousins Sam and John. Mum's been with me all the time here and Dad's been dashing around getting ready for me and Mum to come home. The widwives have been taking good care of us at the hospital and Mum and Dad are getting a crash course on feeding and getting me to sleep.
On my third day, I got to come home to Holmes Chapel! Its pretty nice there. Happily, Noel doesn't seem too jealous and pretty much ignores me. Today I had my first bath and went right to bed. Right now I will only sleep on Mummy or Daddy and I don't like to be left alone. My days and nights are also a bit mixed up - night time is party time, right?
Tuesday, my fourth day home, was very exciting! The midwife came to check up on me and she said I am doing great. I also discovered my bouncy seat - I love it and so do Mum and Dad. I will sit in there for at least 10 minutes all by myself! Today the nappy man came and showed Mum and Dad how to make up my nappies. And at night I watched my first movie!
Wednesday I went on my first big trip into town. We went into Sanbach to register my birth. Mum and Dad both went with me (Mum wanted to make sure Dad didn't really name me Django!) We walked around the park and had some lunch in a little cafe. I slept pretty much the whole time but it was lots of fun.
Thursday was my fifth day alive already! We went out and bought a little crib to attach to Mum and Dad's bed. They think that maybe this way I will sleep by myself. The widwife stopped by again and said I am healthy. Later on, Dad took me for a walk into Holmes Chapel. At night I got my first hiccups! That was a bit scary for me.
Friday Mum and Dad seemed to be much more energetic as I actually slept by myself for most of the night. Dad took me for a walk while Mum got the house ready for someone who might buy it to vist tomorrow. |
