Hello and welcome to my page! As self-appointed
head of the McLorimer household,
I spend my time as husband to my wonderful wife
Maura, dad to
Callum and Finlay
and, of course, long-suffering
stepdad to Noel.
During the day you can find me at work as an astronomer in
the Physics Department at
West Virginia University.
In the summers, we currently relocate to
Green Bank Observatory
in Pocahontas County, WV. When I'm
not home with the family, chances are I'll have slipped out to the
Blue Moose Cafe to listen
to some jazz and drink guiness, or be looking for a golf course
to play on or trying to find a band to play guitar in. Not too much
time for these passions at the moment, though, as the nappy changes are
coming thick and fast and show no signs of letting up!
In a previous
life I sat in with
The Minxx
a great wedding/party band back in the UK.
Even further back in time I was part of
Hot Mofongo,
a Puerto Rican gringo jazz band.
